I love the “really” test.

It’s simple. It’s funny. And it almost always gets to the real issue.

The process is simple.

Once someone says… “The problem is [fill in the blank].”

Your respond with “Really?”, while giving that “really” face. You know the face I’m talking about.

And then they continue to explain, this time with a bit more detail.

And you once again respond with “Really?”, scrunching up our face a bit more.

Lather a rinse, repeat.

After about 5 of those the other person gives up and tells you the REAL reason things are messed up.

Try it. It works every time.
