Best practices are simply “the rules” we believe drive success. We look to successes and ask what they did and then emulate that and hope for the best.

And in many cases that’s a great starting point.

But keep in mind – breaking rules is how you get “next practices”.

Best practices get you parity.

Next practices get you competitive separation.

Break rules. Get new outcomes. Get crazy. What rules could you put in your pogram that seem crazy but “just might work?” Those are the experiments you should run.

Try it.
